Vulnerable migrants in the UK often face a range of difficulties and challenges, including discrimination, exploitation, and lack of access to essential services.
These challenges can be particularly acute for those who are undocumented or lack formal status in the UK.
This course is designed to train frontline staff on how to identify groups of vulnerable migrants, identity their rights and provide relevant advice and support.
No previous experience or knowledge of migrant rights is required to attend this course. By the end of the training, attendees will understand:
- What type of migrant is considered vulnerable
- The difficulties vulnerable nigrants face
- Different types of immigration status
- What no recourse to public funds means
- How having no recourse to public finds affects clients and service users
- What support services are available
