Citizens Advice Cardiff and Vale provides free, impartial and confidential advice services to our local community.
Volunteers play a vital role on it and we actively welcome volunteers of all ages and different backgrounds.
We value our volunteers and we want to make sure that they get the most out of working with us. We offer them the chance to get involved in constructive and challenging work and to develop their skills through training courses as well as offering our day-to-day support, supervision and feedback.
As a volunteer with Citizens Advice Cardiff and Vale, your role as an adviser will include providing advice to clients by telephone, email and webchat. Occasionally you will deliver face-to-face advice to clients who are not able to access our services digitally, or by telephone. As a minimum, we require a commitment of one full day per week over a year.
After we receive an expression of interest, we’ll send you a fact sheet about volunteering with us, and ask you to send us a copy of your CV. If we think you’ll be a good match, we’ll invite you to an interview and ask for references. If you’re successful, you’ll get comprehensive training and an office-based induction.
