Volunteer With Us

Citizens Advice Cardiff and Vale provides free, impartial and confidential advice services to our local community.

At Citizens Advice Cardiff and Vale, we are committed to supporting our volunteers and recognising the integral part that they play in supporting our service and the local community.

We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Our volunteer role aims to help increase people’s skills, employability, and wellbeing, whilst providing a chance for people to share any previous experience they have to give back to the community.

The only role we currently offer volunteers is the role of an adviser, see job description here. This will include completing full advice training with us at our office in Barry over a 2 to 4 week period, and progressing to advising clients via the Advicelink Cymru Pan-Wales telephone service and our drop-in advice sessions at our Barry office. As a minimum, we require a commitment of two full days per week from our volunteers.
