Peter Trott
Chair
Peter works in the sustainability and innovation sector. He is a partner of Afallen LLP and founder of Zero Carbon 2030 CIC. After a +25 year career in the ICT sector he now sits on the Ofcom Wales Advisory Committee.
He is active in the start-up community in Wales as a coach and sits on one of the WCVA’s social enterprise investment panels. He is a member of the Citizens Advice Cymru advisory committee.
Lynne Hamilton
Lynne has served as Director of Finance of Welsh Government and Chief Finance Officer of HM Courts and Tribunals Service, and subsequently as Executive Director of Finance at Swansea Bay University Health Board.
Lynne is a Trustee of Chwarae Teg, an Independent Member of the Joint Audit Committee of Dyfed Powys Police and Crime Commissioner & Chief Constable, and a member of the Court of Abertay University. She is also a Senior Independent Panel Member for Welsh Government public appointments.
Chris Graham
Chris occupied a senior management role in global investment banking before taking early retirement.
He first joined Citizens Advice as a volunteer, advising pre-release prisoners in Cardiff and Bridgend prisons about financial matters. He then went on to serve on the trustee board of Citizens Advice Port Talbot to assist with its merge with Neath and then Swansea, and has served on Cardiff & Vale’s board for a decade.
Roy Edwards
Roy draws upon extensive experience of economic regeneration and his network of public and private sector contacts. During a long career with Cardiff Council, he was actively involved in local economic development issues and business support services and was involved in the transformation of the economic base of Cardiff as it emerged as one of the most vibrant and investor-friendly cities in the UK.
Roy recognises the benefits to be gained by bringing together the right people at the right time to achieve positive outcomes.
Lauren Fear
Lauren is the Director of Corporate Governance and Chief of Staff for Velindre University NHS Trust. Lauren joined the Trust in 2019. Prior to this, Lauren’s career was in banking and finance industry. Lauren read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University.
Lauren is also currently a Governor of Holy Family RC Primary School. Lauren has two little girls, Mari and Gwen. Outside of work, she most of all enjoys spending time with them – with any additional on reading, running and adventures.
Denise Goode
Denise joined the Board in 2017 with over 35 years experience of Customer Service, Commercial and Strategic management, in Manufacturing, Information Technology, Healthcare, Insurance and Financial services. Denise has led successful Corporate review teams, new system builds, managed UK wide customer facing operations in busy, pressurised environments and ran her own business. She believes the success of which has been built on teamwork, communication and building relationships.
Denise enjoys travel, walking and kayaking.
Mike Spencer
Mike retired in March 2016 after 42 years working for the NHS in Leeds and Cardiff. He initially qualified as a pharmacist and held senior management positions in Hospital Pharmacy, NHS general management and Patient Experience. From 2014 to 2020 he was a member, and subsequently chair, of the Citizens Advice Cymru Committee and a member of the Citizens Advice Equality Committee. For relaxation he enjoys running and tending an allotment.
