The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. Citizens Advice values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination.

The Citizens Advice Cardiff & Vale, is a registered charity reliant on trained volunteers to provide these vital services to local communities.

Citizens Advice Cardiff & Vale was created in 2001 from a merger of five separate centres in the Vale, the oldest of which began giving advice in 1967.  In recent years we have substantially developed our range of services and started delivering services in Cardiff in 2011.

Where you can find us

In the Vale we are based in Broad Street, Barry with outreach offices in Penarth and Llantwit Major.  In Cardiff it is based in the Advice Hub in Cardiff Central Library with 14 outreach locations across the City.

We are located in premises that aim to provide a welcoming and friendly environment for clients, volunteer workers and paid staff.  The reception area, office and interview areas are accessible to wheel chair users with an induction loop available when required.

We offer a range of services and how to access these is described in the opening times section on this website by clicking here.
